GLP-1 / GIP RA

Tirzepatide 10mg

Indications and Usage

Tirzepatide is a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist (RA) indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Dosage and Administration

Box contains: 1x Tirzepatide 10mg (unconstituted) and 1x Bacteriostatic water for injection 3mL. You need 1mL (100u) insulin type syringes with fixed needles 29–30g 0.5mm.

How to Reconstitute

Remove both caps to the vials, insert the needle into the Bacteriostatic water vial, remove 0.80mL (80u) of water from the vial and slowly inject into the Tirzepatide vial. Allow to mix naturally, once reconstituted store below 4°C. DO NOT SHAKE.

Dosage

Every 20u (20 units) or 0.2mL on the syringe is 2.5mg Tirzepatide. The recommended starting dosage is 2.5mg/0.2mL injected subcutaneously once weekly. After 4 weeks, increase to 5mg/0.4mL injected subcutaneously once weekly. If additional glycemic control is needed, increase the dosage in 2.5mg/0.1mL increments. The maximum recommended dosage is 15mg subcutaneously once weekly. Most patients tend to stay on around 5mg once weekly with excellent results.

Administration

Administer once weekly at any time of day, with or without meals. Inject subcutaneously in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Recommended to rotate injection sites with each administration.

How to Reconstitute

Remove both caps to the vials, insert the needle into the Bacteriostatic water vial, remove 1.2mL (120u) of water from the vial and slowly inject into the Tirzepatide vial. Allow to mix naturally, once reconstituted store below 4°C. DO NOT SHAKE.
